This project began in Term 4 2008. Motivation in Literacy was the major focus of this project.
Would using Web 2.0 to produce a final product increase these student's motivation in literacy?
In an effort to ensure there was an accurate cross section of students to be able to assess whether motivation in literacy improved a small, teacher selected group of students accross grade 3 - 6 were chosen. The guidelines for this selection were;
· Potential in writing but low motivation.
· Strong teamwork skills.
· Medium / high ICT skills.
· Creativity!
Notes were sent home to parents explaining the project and seeking permission for the students to be involved. The students were also asked if they would like to be involved and were given a brief description of what would be undertaken.
